The IFSCC sponsored Ecaterina Merica Cosmetic Education Programme (EMCEP) visited Portugal in May this year. Prof Dr Emeritus Vera Rogiers of Vrije Universiteit Brussel spoke to the Sociedade Portuguesa de Ciências Cosmetológicas (SPCC) on ‘Risk Assessment of Cosmetic Products’. The seminar was held at the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society in Lisbon with over 40 individuals attending the day-long event, including eight new members.

SPCC General Secretary Catarina Rosado said: “The event went really well. We had a good attendance and were able to increase the number of members of the Society.

“Prof Rogiers is an excellent speaker and the feedback from the participants at the end of the day was very good. We had a demanding programme, but the audience was fully engaged and highly motivated by the charisma of Prof Rogiers and the interest of the lectures. We would like to take the opportunity to thank the IFSCC for sponsoring this event and Prof Rogiers for her availability and commitment.”
