“It is both a privilege and a challenge to be serving as IFSCC President for 2023-24. A privilege to be representing this wonderful international organisation and a challenge as there is so much that I want to do in this one short year. I will be focusing on:

• Enhanced Collaboration: Fostering collaboration with external organizations, and industry partners as well as societies to strengthen the impact of IFSCC initiatives and research.
• Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting diversity and inclusion within IFSCC to ensure a broader range of perspectives and voices are heard.
• Digital Transformation: Embracing digital technologies to enhance communication, education, and engagement among IFSCC members.
• Young Scientist Engagement: Envisioning our programs and initiatives to engage young scientists and professionals in cosmetic science, encouraging their active participation and leadership within IFSCC.
• Global Outreach: Expanding our global reach by considering new regions for conferences and events.
• Member Benefits: Continuously assessing and enhancing the benefits offered to IFSCC members (eg access to research, networking opportunities, educational resources).
• Sustainability Initiatives: Going beyond sustainability goals and actively implementing green practices within IFSCC operations and adopting a more rational approach in our activities.
• Public Awareness: Increasing public awareness of the important role cosmetic science plays in society, emphasizing the safety and innovation behind cosmetic products.
• Strategic Partnerships: Identifying and establishing strategic partnerships with organizations that share common goals
• Long-Term Planning: Incorporating several task forces currently analysing various aspects to formulate a long-term strategy that delineates IFSCC direction and priorities for the coming years, guaranteeing continuity and sustainable expansion.
