Dr Marta Gonçalves from of the Department of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering at Korea’s Sungkyunkwan University has been selected as the winner of the IFSCC 2023 Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Essay Prize.

Dr Gonçalves essay title was ‘Evolution of Clean Beauty: Exploring the Past, Present, and Future’ and she will be presented with her award at the opening ceremony of the IFSCC Congress in Barcelona on 4 September.

Dr Marta Gonçalves completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Porto in Portugal and her master’s degree at the University of Lisbon. She then completed her doctoral studies at our Sungkyunkwan’s Institute of Nanoscience and Technology (SAINT) under the guidance of Professor Byung Mook Won. She has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering since March 2023 and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists of Korea.

The Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Essay Prize is presented biennially to young scientists in the cosmetics field.
