Photoprotection Expert at L’Oréal Japan, ​​​​​​Tomomi Suga won the IFSCC Best Poster Award at the 2021 IFSCC Cancún Conference for her work – A novel technology for cosmetic transfer prevention – which she will present at our 13/14 July webinar

​​​​​​​After graduating Tokyo University with a Masters Degree in Marine Biology, Tomomi joined L’Oréal Japan’s skincare team in 2008. She worked on the Shu Uemura product development team for 3 years, then on the skintone maintainment team for another 3. For the past 8 years she has worked on photoprotective formulation. Her expertise encompasses cosmetic water, milky lotion, essence, cream, mask, bi-phase, spray, balm, BB etc.

Tomomi has worked on product development from formulation to scale-up, including safety/efficacy, stability, in vivo/vitro testing, regulation and patent claims.

Her current focus is on developing efficient formulation to achieve products with the targeted SPF, various textures (especially fresh gel), all mineral composition and lasting performance.
