We are delighted to announce John Jiménez as new Co-Editor of the IFSCC Magazine for Zone 3. John is a Pharmacist (National University of Colombia) with a Master’s in Sustainable Development and specialization studies in Marketing, Applied Neuromarketing and Cosmetic Science. He has 30 scientific publications and a book chapter on cosmetic formulation to his name.

John won the IFSCC 2004 Maison G de Navarre Prize, the IFSCC 2016 Henry Maso Award and best scientific paper at Colamiqc Ecuador 2009, Colamiqc Brazil 2013 and Farmacosmética Colombia 2014. He was also a Keynote Speaker at the 33rd IFSCC Congress in Barcelona 2023.​​​​​​​

In 2005 John joined Belcorp and is currently a Senior Researcher there. In his spare time he enjoys doing synesthetic wine tastings and will soon receive the title of International Sommelier from the Wine Institute of Argentina.
