How to apply for the 2019 Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant
We’re inviting applications for the 2019 Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant, open to students or young scientists (< 35 years old) from Least Developed Countries as listed by the United Nations’ Committee for Development Policy. Membership of an IFSCC Member Society is not a requirement.
The winner of the travel grant will present their work as either a paper or poster at the 2019 IFSCC Conference in Milan so will therefore be chosen from applicants who have had a paper accepted by the Milan Conference Science Committee. The award will cover round-trip coach/economy class airfare, Conference registration fee and three nights at a hotel in Milan.
You may not be eligible yourself but perhaps you know or know of others who would qualify so please forward this information to them.
How can a student or young scientist apply for the 2019 Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant?
• Be a national of, and live in, a country on the Least Developed Countries list of the CDP of the UN
• Submit an abstract to the IFSCC Milan Conference by 28 February 2019 at www.ifscc2019.com
• Send a CV, a copy of their passport (or other national ID document) and a copy of the submitted abstract to the SWISS SCC (Swiss Society of Cosmetic Chemists) at firstname.lastname@example.org The subject line should read ‘2019 Travel Grant submission’
The final decision on the award winner will be made by the board of the SWISS SCC together with Rainer Voegeli.

Paper Impact of Decorative cosmetics: How the community patient responses to Quality of life in developing country
- The Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant was introduced in 2017, funded initially with prize money won by Dr Voegeli at the IFSCC 2016 Congress. Dr Voegeli’s prize money covered the 2017 and 2018 awards and his employer, DSM Nutritional Products is continuing funding of this grant into the future. The grant is jointly administered by the Swiss and Spanish Member Societies of the IFSCC.
