Prof. Dr. Vânia Leite, Professor Universidade Federal de São Paulo & IFSCC Immediate Past President
Prof Dr Vânia Leite did her postdoctoral work at the University of Queensland School of Medicine’s Therapeutics Research Centre (TRC), based in the Translational Research Institute in Brisbane, Australia. At the TRC she shared her expertise in pharmaceutical formulation with TRC faculty while completing her postdoc work in the controversial topic of nanoparticle penetration of human skin. As a Professor at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo since 2010, one of Brazil’s largest and most important universities, she teaches Cosmetology in the Pharmacy school. She has extensive experience in industry, working on the research and development of cosmetics, including the development and validation of new methodologies and technologies for evaluating cosmetic performance. As Board Chairperson of the Associacao Brasileira de Cosmetologia, the Brazilian Cosmetology Association, she has an important role, promoting robust scientific and regulatory standards in the cosmetic industry, while forging links between academia and industry. She served on the IFSCC Praesidium as Publication Chair from 2015-2018, and rejoined the Praesidium in 2020 in anticipation of the IFSCC 2024 Brazil Congress.

Dr Fan Yang holds a PhD in Biology and Medicine and has over 20 years of experience in new product innovation, including leading the global launch of SK-II. He is an expert in the formulation and process of prestige skin care products, with 60+ patents and over 30 published papers in SCI journals and international forums.
