Special call for papers from Young Scientists and Students

The winner of the IFSCC 2016 Congress’ Applied Research Award Winner, Rainer Voegeli, donated the full amount of his award (CHF 7500) for travel grants for students or young scientists (35 years old or younger) to attend future IFSCC Conference and Congresses. Rainer Voegeli’s employer, DSM, also supports this travel grant.

The winner of the 2020 Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant will win an all-expenses paid* trip to the IFSCC 2020 Yokohama Congress in Japan, 20-23 October. Young scientists and students from Least Developed Countries as listed by the Committee for Development Policy of the United Nations are eligible for this grant (list attached). An IFSCC membership is not necessary.

To apply for the 2020 Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant:

  • Submit an abstract following the guidelines to the Yokohama IFSCC Congress by
    31 March 2020 to the SWISS SCC (Swiss Society of Cosmetic Chemists) at rvtgrant@swissscc.ch together with your personal CV.
  • The subject line should read ‘2020 Travel Grant submission’

The aim is that the winner of the travel grant will present his or her work as a poster at the Yokohama Congress. Therefore, the winner of the travel grant will be chosen from those applicants meeting the standard of quality for Yokohama papers.

The final decision on the award winner will be made by the board of the SWISS SCC together with Rainer Voegeli.

*The award will pay for round-trip coach/economy class airfare to Tokyo, train travel to Yokohama, the Congress Registration Fee and 4 nights at a hotel in Yokohama.
