Barcelona, a creative and entrepreneurial city, known for its science, art, culture and exquisite Mediterranean gastronomy, will host the 33rd IFSCC Congress from 4-7 September 2023, organised by the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC).

Rethinking Beauty Science is our theme for 2023 and this will serve as the central axis to address the most current, novel and relevant scientific topics, while the pillars of cosmetic research for future years will be set.

Topics are:

• Rethinking Skin Science: Skin, oral, sun and hair care: breakthrough technologies for cosmetic developments promoted by recent scientific research. New substances, new functions, new efficacies, new evaluation techniques.
• Rethinking Beauty: Texture, odor and color, multi-sensoriality. A strong added value to cosmetics, its impact on uses, consumers and marketing. Cosmetic and beauty product experiences backed up by technology.
• Rethinking Nature: Responsible cosmetic development. What have we learned from nature? Towards the guarantee of safer cosmetic products.

Abstract submission deadline has been extended to 16 January 2023 and notification of abstract selection results will be by email by 30 April 2023.
