Bringing the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry to Life – Webinar Wednesday 30 November
Bringing you sustainability without the greenwashing and empty/unsubstantiated claims, Dennis Abbeduto’s webinar on Wednesday 30 November is based on his article published in the October issue of the IFSCC Magazine.
In 1998, a landmark book Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice (Paul Anastas and John Warner) introduced 12 Principles of Green Chemistry to the chemical industry, and these remain important and useful guidelines for chemists and chemical engineers producing sustainable intermediates and ingredients. Sustainable chemistry, using the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry, is as achievable for small and mid-sized chemical manufacturers as it is for large ones. But as an industry, it is imperative that all dimensions of green chemistry are considered. Dennis will be talking sustainability without the greenwashing and empty/unsubstantiated claims.
Guest Scientist for this session will be our Education Chair, Perry Romanowski.
