12/03/2021

Congratulations to Géraud Azehoun-Pazou from Benin’s Université nationale des Sciences, Technologies, Ingénierie et Mathématiques (UNSTIM), winner of the 2021 Rainer Voegeli Travel Grant. Géraud’s poster, Automatic detection of skin phototypes based on features extraction from face images and neural networks, was presented at the 2021 Conference in Cancun but as this was virtual he will be invited to the IFSCC 2022 Congress in London, with the grant covering his registration, travel and accommodation.

“The possibility of winning the award encouraged me to apply,” said Géraud. “For IFSCC 2022, I hope to have the opportunity to present a new research topic I’m working on, which is related to the prediction of depigmentation impact on skin structure. I hope to obtain support from the cosmetics industry regarding data collection.”
