Honorary Award

IFSCC Fellow – Honorary Designation

During the 2019 IFSCC autumn Praesidium Meeting, the Praesidium unanimously agreed to begin bestowing the title of ‘IFSCC Fellow’ to “recognize Members of the IFSCC who have achieved full maturity in the profession as evidenced by a record of outstanding achievement in the field of cosmetic science, and leadership and service to the IFSCC”. This is an honorary designation with no duties or responsibilities required.

How does it work

  • Nomination Process for IFSCC Fellow
Nominees for IFSCC Fellow may be proposed by either IFSCC Member Societies or by individuals. Any individual IFSCC member or Society can nominate a Fellow, including self-nominations. However, nominees will need endorsement from their country’s Society to validate their nomination.
The nominator must submit the nomination form electronically to the IFSCC Secretary General.
  • Fellowship Appointment Guidelines
Praesidium members must wait at least one year after leaving the Praesidium before they can be appointed as Fellows.
To maintain the prestige of the fellowship, we aim to limit appointments to no more than three Fellows each year, if possible.
  • Decision Process for Nominations
The Praesidium will make the decision to accept or reject nominations through a vote, which can be conducted via email through the Secretary General or during a Praesidium meeting.
  • Announcing New Fellows at Congress
If a new Fellow is attending the next IFSCC Congress following their appointment, they will be invited to the Opening Ceremony, where they will be announced as a new Fellow—time permitting for the necessary arrangements. If the new Fellow is unable to attend the Congress, their Certificate of Fellowship will be sent to them by the Secretary General.

Candidates must have the following qualifications

  • Active membership
Active membership in an IFSCC Member Society.
