Immune‑Driven Beauty: From Inflammaging to Skin Repair
Dr Junxiang Li will discuss how the skin’s immune system plays a dual role in aging and repair. When immune activation becomes excessive, it drives chronic inflammation and accelerates skin aging; yet when properly regulated, the same immune machinery can powerfully promote tissue repair and regeneration.
In the first case study, we applied computational biology to design targeted multi-peptide actives that address inflammaging driven by immune over-activation. In the second, we explored innovative DNA-based biomolecules – one of the most exciting categories in current dermatological research – to harness immune-supported pathways for enhanced skin healing.Together, these two examples illustrate how precisely tuning and leveraging the skin immune system enables us to meet different dermatological needs and ultimately achieve healthier, more resilient skin.
